Consistent service, reliable app

I've been using Natural Cycles for a few years now, and this latest annual subscription renewal was as smooth as ever. The app has been consistently reliable for tracking my cycles. I appreciate that they still include the option for a free basal thermometer, even though I already have one. It's why I keep coming back.

App and thermometer were as expected

My recent purchase was the annual subscription with the NC Thermometer Gen 2. Ordering was straightforward on their website; I found the section for the subscription and added it without issues. The thermometer arrived fairly quickly, maybe 6 days after ordering, and was well-packaged. Setting up the app was intuitive enough, and syncing the thermometer was simple. I've been using the app daily for tracking, and the interface is clean. I had a quick question about data interpretation that I sent to support, and they got back to me within 24 hours with a clear answer. Overall, the quality of the thermometer seems good, and the app functions as described. It's been a positive experience so far.

Good value for annual plan

I was looking for a non-hormonal option and Natural Cycles came up. I went with the annual subscription because it included a free basal thermometer. The total cost felt reasonable for a year of service, especially compared to other methods I've used. It felt like a good upfront saving, which was my main concern.

Anyone know how Natural Cycles compares to Flo or Clue for just basic cycle tracking? Is it worth the extra cost?

G Gwen Romero 1 month ago
NC is more about preventing pregnancy; Flo/Clue are more just for tracking. NC uses your temp data for actual contraception, so it's a totally different level of precision.

If you're using it as birth control, NC is totally different since it's FDA-cleared. Flo/Clue are really just period trackers. Depends what you're trying to do.

Are there ever good sales for the annual subscription? I'm debating between monthly and annual, but annual is a bit pricey up front.

G Greg 2 months ago
Definitely. They usually have a Black Friday sale, and I think I've seen deals around New Year's too. Plus, often get a free thermometer with the annual plan.

N Nina Patel 2 months ago
Yeah, I got 20% off plus a free thermometer with a referral code. Always look for those first, or check for student/healthcare worker discounts if you qualify.

Hey everyone, thinking of trying Natural Cycles. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the thermometer to arrive? I'm in NYC.

C Carly H. 2 months ago
Mine got here pretty quick, like 4-5 days tops. I'm on the east coast too so prob similar for you.

Yeah, I think it was less than a week for me when I ordered it last year. Pretty standard shipping speeds.

How do you actually apply a promo code? Is it straightforward or is it hidden somewhere in the checkout?

F Faith 2 months ago
It's pretty easy! You enter it during the web checkout process, before you actually activate the app itself.

P Priya V. 2 months ago
Yeah, usually a box to enter it right before you confirm your payment. Can't miss it.

Thinking of getting Natural Cycles but already have an Oura ring. Does anyone know if there's a special deal or discount if you're already an Oura user?

E Elena 2 months ago
I don't think so directly. I got my Oura first and then signed up for NC and didn't see any specific Oura-user discount. Just the general new user stuff.

They do have a bundle deal if you buy the Oura ring through them sometimes, but not usually a discount if you already own one, afaik.

Can I use my HSA/FSA funds for Natural Cycles? Curious about coverage.

C Colin Nguyen 2 months ago
Yep, I've used my FSA for it! It's considered a medical expense since it's an FDA-cleared birth control method.

J Julia N. 1 month ago
My insurance didn't cover it directly, but I was able to pay for the subscription with my HSA card without any issues.

just wondering if natural cycles actually works with irregular cycles? mine are all over the place.

S Sam Marsh 2 months ago
I have pretty irregular cycles and it's been fine for me. The algorithm adjusts.

It's designed to handle it, though it might give you more red days initially until it learns your pattern. That's what happened to my friend anyway.
